The conference offers various types of scientific communication, including oral presentations and posters. Oral presentations will be allocated to specific thematic sessions, which include the following topics: Conservation Biology, Integrative Taxonomy, Evolution and Development, Biomimetics, Ecophysiology, and Evo-Devo. The exact themes of the sessions will be refined based on the submitted abstracts.
The Scientific Committee will be responsible for selecting individuals for oral presentations, including the possibility of double-slot presentations.
Oral communication:
Two types of oral presentations are available: standard oral communication (12 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions) and double-slot communication (25 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions). Depending on the number of submitted abstracts, the Scientific Committee may invite a select few postdoctoral researchers (non-tenured) to open a symposium with double-slot presentations, allowing them to showcase their research in greater detail. A presenting author is limited to a single oral presentation.
Poster communication:
A poster session will be organized on the 12th of December 2024, but posters will be visible during the whole conference All posters should be in A0 portrait format.
For both types of communication, please follow the abstract template provided here. Details regarding the abstract format can be found within the document. Kindly submit your abstract to UMONS.Zoology.2024@gmail.com using the format FamilyName_Abstract_ORAL or POSTER.doc. Please, ensure that the file size does not exceed 2 MB.
